BEHAVIOUR and RISK ASSESSMENTS

Susan has over 15 years of experience in the field of risk assessing dogs for local authorities and Social Services adoption and fostering. She recognises the emotional stress this can place on dog owners and looks to support them towards a positive outcome. Her love of dogs notwithstanding, the focus of the assessment is on the safety and welfare of the child[ren] and/or other at-risk vulnerable people.

Assessments for local authorities (eg fostering and adoption) when prospective carers or adopters have a dog resident in the household. The risk to the child[ren] is assessed, management and training needs identified, and recommendations made in comprehensive detailed written reports. Fully supported training packages for the dog and owner can be provided, subject to agreement.
Risk assessments and training packages for private individuals to prepare their dog for the arrival of a baby in the household.
Risk assessments and training packages for private individuals who have concerns that the behaviour of their dog could have an impact on the safety and welfare of their family and/or the general public.

The fees for behaviour risk assessments start at £250.00.
